As I approached Chandler Velodrome this afternoon on the way to a Repsych Sunday afternoon training session, I noticed a Watpac construction sign. Ahhh, construction on the Queensland State Velodrome must have started!

After the Repsych training session I investigated. Sure enough, the old car park shade structures had been demolished and earthworks had begun.

There appears to be an excavation up there, most likely for the velodrome foundations

Behind the trees there are several earthmoving trucks, with excavators behind the site office
